Patterns from everyday life overlap with patterns in nature - lined paper with lines on the sand, ripped edges of fabric with the crests of waves. These visual elements become a reflection on integration - self and nature, internal and external, memory and material. 

Salt is an element used for space clearing, cleansing, protection, preservation. The horizontal lines and muted colors of this piece are meant to invoke the same sense of calm and relaxation as warm salt bath or the residue of salt on your skin after a day at the beach.
