Thich Nhat Hanh observed that everything in this world exist in a state of "interbeing." All things arise together and cannot exist separate from one another. When we feel into the nature of things through drawing and painting, we discover that it is hard to find where one thing ends and another begins. The work is my way of exploring this idea, visually blending earth and sky. By combining patterns of shells and bits of clothing on the canvas, asking "What is the difference between my world and yours?" - MK
